Please bring with you to class the following items: One single-subject notebook, a pencil and an eraser (pens will not be necessary) your daily agenda book, and your text book. Most importantly, please bring your ENTHUSIAM AND CURIOSITY!
Keep this syllabus in a safe place, as you may need to refer to it. I suggest covering this page with a sheet protector and placing it in your binder or agenda. I am available to you and your parents outside of school for any problems or questions that may arise.

Learning science is an active process for all students. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of science practices through many experiences in and outside this class.
Your grade will be based on the following:
Homework - 15%
Lab Reports - 15%
Quizzes - 10%
Tests - 25%
Special Project- 30%
Class Participation - 5%
Course Grading:
90-100: A
80-89: B
70-79: C
*Up to 69: See After School Hours*
"Make-Up" Work Policy: If you are absent from class, you have ONE WEEK from the date of your absence to make up missed work. It is your responsibility to obtain the assignments and to make arrangements for their completion. *See above After School Hours.
